Betsy A. Hays, APR, Fellow PRSA is an award-winning educator, speaker, author, and podcaster who helps professionals communicate with impact and work with purpose. A longtime professor of Public Relations and former department chair at Fresno State, Betsy is a respected leader in communication education, career readiness, and applied productivity.

She brings more than two decades of classroom and real-world experience to her talks, combining research-based strategies with warm, relatable delivery. Betsy’s speaking topics include email mastery, presentation skills, effective communication, time management, and professionalism in the workplace. Her sessions are known for being practical, energizing, and infused with humor.

Betsy is a two-time alumna of Fresno State and holds her APR designation as an accredited public relations professional. She is a proud member of the PRSA College of Fellows and has served in multiple leadership roles with the Public Relations Society of America. She has received numerous teaching and service awards, including Fresno State’s “Spirit of Service” Award, Outstanding Adviser honors, and recognition as PR Professional of the Year.

She is the co-author of three nonfiction books—including Land Your Dream Career in College and Win & Wow: Public Relations Secrets for Everyday Success—as well as a recently released children’s book. As the host of a podcast on productivity for the imperfect, she shares real-world strategies for balancing work and life without losing your mind (or your email inbox).
